Here is a poem I wrote to honor my 2 Catholic grandmothers: Irene Uram (Polish) and Jeanette Titus (Irish). I wrote the poem from their point of view.
"The Blessed Mother"
This beautiful lady,
This virgin so true,
She wants to be,
A mother to you.
The angel Gabriel addressed her,
Full of grace.
Mary said, "Yes Lord!"
And took her place.
This mortal teenager was given,
A monumental task.
To bear the Messiah.
How is this possible you ask?
It is a mystery,
Christ the incarnate Deity.
He took on human flesh,
For the sake of you and me.
Jesus loves His mother,
A love so pure and deep.
She never abandoned Him,
At Calvary she did weep.
So run to Mary,
And tell her your plea.
She will ask Jesus,
And you will get victory!
